About Me

The Day Starts, The Day Ends

Time crawls by.  Night steals in, pacing the floor.

Days start and end quickly for me.  Night comes in and I watch it pacing back and forth, stealing my sleep.
Anyways...

Thursday the 18th started pretty normal...until after work.  I finished work at 8pm and got into my Lavender Brown costume, was picked up and went over to the Rio to watch Harry Potter with my friends.  The movie was really the first one that I was happy with in the series.  It followed the book pretty well and had little moments that I really loved.

I had Jayme and Kirsten over for lunch yesterday and my dad made his grilled cheese and creamy tomato soup for us.  It was quite good.  Then we decided to make a trip to Starbucks and I tried out that White Peppermint Mocha that Jayme told me about.  I am a fan of it now. =D  While we were driving back to the house, Kirsten and I stuck our heads out of the car.  That was really fun, especially when it started raining.  When we got home we took a walk down to the dam and climbed it while it was raining.  I got hit by a golf ball on the head and have a lump now... but it was totally worth seeing Jayme being rooted to the cement after he climbed it.  :P  After coming back from the dam we walked around our block and picked up Robert and continued walking.  We met up with Matt and....I had to leave to work before he and Robert tried to jump off of their roof.

Well, sometimes I feel like being a princess.  Today was one of them.  I was a princess.  I went to a banana party and a green bean party where I pealed bananas and snapped green beans.  I went shopping with some buds, had my first ever picture booth pictures (I fail so badly at them), had my very own Chipotle for the first time and split it with Kylie, and kinda sorta had a yummy pretzel from Auntie Annie's.  No, it wasn't as good as the ones from the Amish Market.

Anyways, here I am now, studying away for the 3 tests that I am really anxious about.  But after the tests...HAWAII! =D

Let Us Be Thankful Boys and Girls...

Like I promised, here is the rest of the post about my Thanksgiving Day.
It started out when I was woken up by the sounds of another dog in our house.  After sitting in bed for 20 minutes confused as to how that dog got in our house and when, I went upstairs and found out that she was dropped off while we were still sleeping and that we were dogsitting him for a few days.

I watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (tradition) then left for my grandma's house.  We left early of course in order to watch the Dog Show on her tv.

After Aunty Jeanie, Uncle Art and the best cousins ever arrived we started in on the lunch/dinner.  Mmmm! Everyone brought things, including my favorite Watergate Salad (childhood favorite) and jello...and turkey of course.  I started in on my plate of food and saved the turkey for last.  Of course, I ended up being too full to have anything past a single bite of turkey by then. =P

We played hide-n-go-seek with the squinch.

It was taken by a phone.  Sorry about the bad quality :)
And a statue freeze game....where you "can't move an eye or your hair."

Again with the picture from a phone. =P

After hanging out for a while we all had dessert.  Amish pies and desserts, pumpkin chocolate chip bread certainly make for a very good dessert and a full tummy.  Then we left.  Happy, stuffed, and tired.

Now I am home watching a Christmas Hallmark movie called "A Boyfriend For Christmas."  It is pretty cool.  I pleases me.
---
My thankful list of 10:

1- I have been saved by Jesus and can now worship Him in heaven forever.
2- I have been given the best family in the world.  Including many family members in Hawaii who allow us to stay in their home while visiting.
3- I've been blessed with many, many amazing and godly friends who make me laugh.
4- I have wonderful teachers and pastors.
5- I have a well paying job.
6- I have an amazing neighborhood, with friends who throw late night movies, random bonfires, or just hang out.
7- I have trials like lyme disease where I can dance and have pain afterwards, yet still be joyful with the knowledge that I will be pain-free in heaven.
8- I have a box with the word "Joseph" on it full of so many memories that are now overflowing.
9- I have curly hair that I used to hate, but have realized that people spend tons of money to get the same hair as me.  I am not thankful for it.
10- I have seen Wicked, performed at the Kennedy Center...and many other things. :)

Me and My Cousins.....

You and your cousins...
Well, in this case it was just one cousin for this story :)

Thursday night is when the excitement started.  Right before going to bed, Jenna (my cousin if you didn't already know that) chatted me asking if I wanted to go shopping.  Seeing as we had not seen each other in a long time of course I wanted to, so we planned to go on Saturday :)

I had woken up the next morning and went to MC to find out that I had passed my test and that once I drop a test grade I'd have a B in my bio class!  This was very good news to me, after feeling like I would have an F in the class.  God is SO good!

Nighttime commenced and 10:31 came and went.  I was called up to play an odd game that made us look like elephants... it just so happened that Jenna was also playing against me.  The message, the cider, the friends, the watermelon and the talks were all very good.

Then Saturday morning I went to Donuts and Doctrine....that was a very good teaching, if only I had remembered to bring home the outline. =P

Then we went shopping at Montgomery Mall a little bit later!  Ohhh boy!  Jenns and I went to Forever 21 (which happened to be 2 floors, and of course it reminded me of the 4 floor one at NYC), got lost, had McDonald's, caught up with each others lives and made many memories shopping at random stores. <3 you Jenna I'm so glad we got to hang out!
"I am pretty sure that's a wedding dress for 9 dollars. Try it on." In reference to the dress she made me try on.  I'm so sure that it was a legit wedding dress for $9. =P
"It is a dress......that looks like it's made from a trash bag." In reference to the dress I made her try on....it must've been a trash bag with diamond things on the shoulders. :)

Before heading home we made a stop at Whole Foods.  Emma, Lily, Jenna and I wandered around the store trying food samples (smoked pacific salmon, winter wonderland cake and some chicken thing).  Then we found the aisle with soaps and glasses.  Of course we had to try on glasses and perfumes...and take pictures =)

Later that night I was sitting in bed, falling asleep when I heard a knock on my window....I have started to become used to knocks at the window late at night, but it still startles me.  Turns out that it was Cat and Stephen wanting to watch How to Train Your Dragon :)  By the time I got home that night it was 11:30...and I was really tired, but I had a very good time!

Can I just say that the message this morning (Sunday) was very, very good.  God convicted me in many ways and drew me closer to Him! :)

That sums up my weekend.  I am kinda wanting some sort of sugar right now, and a second nap...but that will not really happen soon seeing as I do not own sugar or time. Oh well. =P  And just a note, the pictures were from phones and not actual cameras, so sorry if they are bad quality =)

Thimbles, Needles, and Rockets.

Pray, Study, Exam, Serve, Laughs, People, Lectures, Harry Potter, Music, Work, Phone Conversations, Labs, Matchmaking, Cleaning, Dreaming, Castles, Food, Roses.

This equals my life the past week.

I went to an extra credit lecture at MC.  Now I want to be a discoverer and discover things.

I served at the Pastors Conference.  I want to serve the whole rest of my life instead of having to wait for opportunities like that.  Oh yeah, and I met Mariah Slack.  I am so happy that I met her! :)

I worked at JFD.  Drama happens there.  It is quite funny.

Amy and Madeline-Camille came over at 7pm one day bringing me a random gluten free meal.  It was quite good I must say. It most certainly made me happy, especially considering that I had not eaten almost anything all day.  =D

I procrastinated a whole day by cleaning the yard....for fun!

I got random calls from Stephen who said he was praying for me or had just happened to be walking by and wanted to say hi...at 10pm.  I also called Monica to make sure she was studying and not asleep.  Sure enough she was going to bed when I called. Haha =)

A goal I made this summer, when I got permission to read and watch Harry Potter, was to read and watch all of the books and movies before the premiere this Friday.  I kinda have a while to go.  But I plan on finishing my goal even if it requires late nights :)

I have also planned to live in a castle and host balls.

And one day I will move to Europe and be like Audrey Hepburn.
The end =)

"Take That Look Off Of Your Face"

Yes, I finally made a blog...I am quite surprised myself.

I have been deciding whether to make a blog or not the past few months.  As soon as I'd get the guts to make one, I'd get stuck on the title of the blog.
So I finally decided to make one.  And yes, the title might change a hundred times before one sticks with me :)

I made this blog so I can post about things God has been doing in my life, anything I thought would be cool to share from my quiet times, or just life.
Now, don't be expecting me to be a devoted blogger seeing as I have school and work to concentrate on first.  Blogging is actually at the very bottom of my priority list. Ha.

Anyways, I shall go now and finish studying for my Biology test this coming Wednesday.
