Family Cruise 2011- Part 2

When we arrived in Bermuda it was a gorgeous day.  And the ocean was made of brilliant colors that I'd never seen before, not even in Hawaii.  I proceeded to take millions of pictures, where only a few looked professional, and only one or two show the true color of the ocean. =P

We went to Horseshoe Bay.

There were cliffs, which were climbed by my brother and myself.

And we went to town before boarding the ship.

Our ship...was huge.

Family Cruise 2011- Part 1

Sorry for getting behind, I owe you all an update or three.

Basically I finished my last final at MC on May 11th and proceeded to pack for my family cruise early the next day.  It was the start of a very busy month and a half =)

The Navigator of the Seas, the same ship we were on for our trip to Canada, was the ship we were on for the Bahamas.  So we were very familiar with the layout and didn't really bother taking pictures of the inside.  (Hence the lack of inside-ship photos)  Anyways, we boarded the ship, and were again amazed at how large it was.

The ship was 14 levels.  It had an ice rink (the only ship in the ocean with an ice rink/ice shows).  A three floor dining room for formal dining.  One whole level for the Promenade, which was basically a mall.  A 24-hour Cafe where you could get pizza, cookies, sandwiches...anything you could possibly want.  A theater.  A spa for people with lots of money who could afford a $200 massage or facial.  A gym with almost any gym equipment you can think of.  The Windjammer- another area where you could get breakfast, lunch or dinner.  They had a teen center where they had dance parties, pool parties, and lots of things until basically 1am.  They had 4 pools and 6 hot tubs.  A running track, basketball court, 3 ping pong tables, rock climbing wall, and a mini-golf course.

Moving on...the cruise was 9 nights to Bermuda, St. John, St. Martin, and Puerto Rico.

As we were leaving the harbor, this was the bridge we had to clear.

It was basically 2 feet or less above the tallest part of the ship.

After we cleared the bridge, they had a sail away dance party.  The kid behind me in the black sweatshirt happened to be from Brooklyn and was a crazy good dancer.

Emma joined, and was video taped by the cruise video crew.

Anyways, the next post will be at our port: Bermuda.
